Hours: Flexible Part-Time, Up to 16 hours per week (Typical shifts are 4 to 5 hours; we welcome applicants looking for just 1 to 2 shifts a week as well as those wanting up to 16 hours)

Pay: $12.00 – $15.00 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)

Unboxing Rush is a brick-and-mortar and online action figure and collectibles shop in Stow, Ohio. From modern retail releases and imports to vintage toys, we focus on building a welcoming community hub for collectors while shipping orders nationwide with collector-grade care.

About the Role
We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Associates to help run daily storefront operations and assist with online order fulfillment. While we are surrounded by awesome toys all day, this role is hands-on retail and shipping work. We need team members who are friendly with customers at the counter, meticulous when packing boxes for shipping, and proactive about keeping the shop organized.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Customer Service & Point of Sale: Greet customers, answer questions, ring up sales accurately at the register, and maintain a welcoming environment on the sales floor.
  • E-Commerce Order Fulfillment: Pick items from inventory, inspect figures and packaging, and pack online orders securely to meet our fast turnaround and crush-resistant shipping standards.
  • Inventory & Merchandising: Restock pegs and display cases, apply price tags and SKU labels, clean and prep pre-owned figures, and keep displays looking sharp.
  • Store Upkeep: Keep the checkout counter, packing station, and sales floor clean and organized throughout your shift.

  • Year-End Storefront Break: Our physical retail storefront closes for the entire week between Christmas and New Year's, though shifts remain available that week for back-room e-commerce shipping operations.

What We Are Looking For

  • Reliability: You show up on time for your scheduled shifts and communicate clearly.
  • Attention to Detail: You understand why box and card condition matters to collectors and take pride in packing orders carefully and pricing inventory accurately.
  • Self-Starter Mindset: When the sales floor is quiet, you naturally look for orders to pack, shelves to straighten, or stock to prep without waiting to be asked.
  • Hobby Familiarity (A Plus, Not Required): Knowledge of action figures (Marvel Legends, Transformers, G.I. Joe, Star Wars, WWE, imports, etc.) is a great bonus, though we will gladly teach product knowledge to someone with strong retail and work habits.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old and able to stand for 4 to 5 hour shifts, bend, reach, and lift stock boxes up to 30 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
